Once again catching Columbia, MO's Witch's Hat at Off Broadway in St. Louis, again as openers, there weren't nearly as many folks in attendance as the band deserves. Nonetheless, the four-piece clad in yellow shirts ripped through a glorious set, roughly forty-five minutes, of their dancey-punk glam metal paradise. Think a metal pop version of Hedwig and the Angry Inch singing about medieval events, knights, warriors, etc. Yes, it is campy, but at the level Witch's Hat pull it off you cannot not fall in love with the band. Each member of the band plays their part - from the bass player's bounciness, the drummer's insanity, the guitarist's collectivity, to the magical lead singer who entrances you to follow his every movement. If you have a chance to check out Witch's Hat, do so as you won't be dissappointed.
