Oh, snap! It's been four years for exoduster.com. Yeah! We are starting our second year in St. Louis and are still going strong. The volume of material we are getting is crazy, but we'll do our best. Seriously, one of these days we'll have Matt do a massive design update. But that will be when I have time, money, and less real work to do. Translation: not soon. We still are doing monthly music updates, but other pages, like the news section, are getting updated every week so check back often.

I
thought I should write something since it's been two years. Exoduster.com
has now been officially rocking for two years and it has been
fun - though a lot of work. Since our first artist of the month
the All-American Rejects in August 2002 to our latest Letter Kills
we've heard, seen and interviewed some amazing artists. At some
point in the future, hopefully sooner than later, we are going
to have Matt do up a whole new website to make everything look
fancy. But we should give him some money to do it and not just
bum it off him. The only problem is that we don't have any money.
When such a time comes then it will be done.
Another
plan is to make Exoduster at least a weekly updated reviews site
instead of a monthly. But that is only likely to come if I don't
get a real job or we get more people do stuff around here. For
now, count on massive record reviews update on the first of every
month.
Oh,
to dispel many of the questions we get that picture up there really
isn't me.
Thanks,
Brian

This is the launch of our new site www.exoduster.com. After
spending the past two years as assistant editor and music editor
of www.fungamemassive.com, I decided to forge a new online zine.
This decision was due to differing models of the future of the
fungamemassive site. The current editor of fungamemassive envisions
a new mission for the existence of the fungamemassive site. I
envision something different.
Exoduster.com will bring its' readers the best in music news
and reviews of records, live shows and film. Hence, the site
maintains a deeper commitment to bringing insights of the world of
punk, hardcore, indie rock,…, to the world. In addition, the site
contains other developing sections that add significant fun to your
viewing pleasure, such as the "crazy" section. Many of the
quality drawings and pictures currently on the site come from artist
Matthew Petz and his website Monster Island Media (http://www.monsterislandmedia.com/).
For more visual pleasures, steer yourself to his site.
What
is an exoduster? Exodusters were freed black slaves from the South
who moved to the Plains states in the late 1800s for their own
land to farm. After the Civil War, freed slaves could not attain,
for various reasons, land to farm in the South. Instead of being
tenant farmers and the like in the South, the Plains' open spaces
offered opportunity. Dissecting the word, "Exodusters" stands
for "exodus" (as in the biblical meaning) and "duster" (as in
the Dust Bowl).
Please
contact me for any reason pertaining to the site.
